A Party Celebrating Buzz Dalesandro

A Party Celebrating Buzz Dalesandro

Buzz liked a party, and we think the best way to remember him together is to do so at a place that brought many evenings of joy and camaraderie, Cain’s Ballroom. On Monday March, 16th from 6:00-9:00 we would like to invite everyone to celebrate the life of Buzz Dalesandro.

One of Buzz’s best qualities was the diversity of the friendships he shared. All are invited. All friends of Candy, Olivia and Sonny are absolutely welcome as well. The more support and stories, the better. If you have any nice, fun, or funny pictures of Buzz (and yourself), please upload them  to https://photos.app.goo.gl/9AUyFTo9vAZ7KSJS7 or email them to sonny@tulsa-athletic.com.

There will be a cash bar, along with music and food. Thank you again to everyone for the continued support and we looking forward to laughing, crying and hugging on the 16th of March.

Manchego and Ham Croqueta

Wine-Avinyo Petillant Blanc Cava, Catalonia Spain

“Petillant is a vi d'agulla, the Catalan name for prickly wine. This vibrant and refreshing wine is the traditional summertime quaffer of the Penedès region of Catalonia, and it's perfect for drinking out of a porrón.”

2nd Course
Chorizo Pasta with Spinach and Manchego

Wine-Luberri Orlegi Rioja, Spain

Tablas Creek Vineyard Wine Dinner at Biga

Darren Delmore was raised by restaurateurs in San Luis Obispo, California. After stints in competitive surfing and publishing as an editor at Surfing Magazine, he embarked on an oenological odyssey that steered him through ten wine harvests in California, Oregon and Australia. He worked with Rhone varietals at Bonny Doon Vineyard, punched down Pinot Noir at the Hirsch Vineyard, and blackened his palms at Two Hands in the Barossa Valley of Australia. Most recently, he represented Goldeneye Winery in Anderson Valley as a Wine Educator before joining Tablas Creek as National Sales Manager in 2012.

1st Course
Spiced Fish with Fennel and Orange Salad

Wine-Tablas Creek Patelin De Tablas Rouge Blanc, Paso Robles

“The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Blanc is a blend of six white Rhône and Rhone-adjacent varieties: Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Vermentino, and Picpoul Blanc with fruit from sixteen top Rhone vineyards in Paso Robles, each vineyard selected for its quality. Like many white wines from the Southern Rhône, it is based on the crisp acids and rich mouthfeel of Grenache Blanc, with Viognier for floral, tropical aromatics and luscious stone fruit flavors, Roussanne and Marsanne for structure and spice, and additions of Vermentino and Picpoul Blanc for brightness and texture.”

2nd Course
Korean Fried Chicken
Asian Slaw

Wine-Tablas Creek Patelin De Tablas Rose, Paso Robles

“The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Rosé is a rosé blend in the tradition of Provence, produced from three red Rhône varietals: Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise, with a small addition of the white grape Vermentino. The wine incorporates fruit from nine top Rhône vineyards in Paso Robles, each vineyard selected for its quality. Like most rosé wines from the Rhône Valley, it is based on the bright strawberry fruit and fresh acidity of Grenache, with additions of deeper red fruit and structure from Mourvèdre, spice from Counoise, and citrusy lift from Vermentino -- a white grape that is increasingly important in many Provence rosés.”

Entree
Roast Pork Loin with Black Olive Sauce
Orzo with Parmesan

Wine-Tablas Creek Patelin De Tablas Rouge, Paso Robles

" The Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas is a Paso Robles take on a classic Rhône blend: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise. The wine incorporates fruit from several of the top Rhône vineyards in Paso Robles, each vineyard selected for its quality. Like many red wines from the Rhône Valley, it is based on the dark fruit, mineral and spice of Syrah. To that Syrah, we incorporate the brightness and fresh acidity of Grenache, the structure and meatiness of Mourvèdre, and small additions of Counoise for complexity."

Pink Stiletto Gala

I am happy to have played a part in raising $11,000 at the live auction. Auctioneer Rick Miller whipped the crowd into a bidding frenzy, which resulted in doubling down for two private wine dinners. A big thank you to the generous supporters of Pink Stiletto and Susan G. Komen.

Hit the auction to bid on a private wine dinner hosted by me, a fun “pink” wine package, and more.

On March 7, 2026, at the River Spirit Casino Resort, Susan G. Komen will honor local Oklahoma women who have used their platforms to promote breast cancer awareness.

Friday Supper Club: California Dreaming at The Meat and Cheese Show

March in Oklahoma is chaos in a trench coat; but no matter the weather, The Meat & Cheese Show will be “California Dreamin’” for Friday Supper Club

We’re leaning into California coastal cuisine—bright, produce-forward, and obsessed (respectfully) with what’s starting to trickle in at peak freshness. Think strawberries, avocados, tender greens, asparagus, and those final weeks of citrus that deserve a proper send-off.

And it wouldn’t be a California dinner without some serious California wines in the mix. Details:
Chef-inspired multi-course dinner
Early-spring produce + coastal flavors
Optional California wine pairings (highly encouraged)
$135 per person
$65 wine pairings
March 6th, 13th, 20th
Tickets must be purchased in advance (limited seats)

Pinot Party Wine Dinner at Biga

1st Course
Shrimp Scampi with Angel hair

Wine-Girasole Pinot Blanc. Mendocino California

“The beauty and enjoyment of this wine is in its sheer simplicity. Notes of peach, nectarine, acacia blossom, nasturtium leaf and nectar, bread dough, honeysuckle, blood-orange zest and just-ripe mango are carried by a medium body and smooth, glycerin texture.”

2nd Course
Gingersnap Crusted Salmon with Walnut-Cherry Salad

Wine-Grochau Cellars Commuter Cuvee Pinot Noir,
Willamette Valley Oregon

“From the beach blanket, to a backyard bbq, the Commuter Cuvee delivers a lot of flavor for the buck. Aromas of dark raspberries, jasmine and fresh basil lead to tart red cherry and bittersweet dark chocolate flavors backed by brisk acidity and modest tannins.”

Entree
Seared Duck Breast with Blackberry Sauce

Wine-Vignerons Des Monts De Bourgogne Pinot Noir,
Burgundy France

" Purple color with deeper glints. A bouquet of small red fruits (cherry, redcurrant) and black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant). Lively and crunchy in the mouth. A vinous and appealing wine. Enjoy with vegetable salads, meat or poultry, simmered beef and vegetables, even fish. "

South American Wine Dinner at Duet

South American Wine Dinner at Duet

1st Course
Shrimp Pupusas

Wine-Domaine Bousquet Brut Sparkling, Argentina

“This Chardonnay-dominant wine is fresh and bright. Aromas of apple and lemon zest rise from the glass. Ripe citrus and stone fruit fill the mouth and lead to a lemony finish.”

2nd Course
Chicken Empanada
Red Chili Sauce and Roast Corn Salsa

Wine-Pascual Toso Estate Malbec, Argentina

“Plum and berry aromas are rough and gritty like hot asphalt, while this Malbec is earthy and hints at barnyard animal hide on the nose. A wiry palate is wayward and short on focus, while this tastes of plum and generic berry fruits topped with oak that doesn't dissipate on the finish.”

Entrée
Seared Steak with Smokey Red Chimichurri
Mashed Yucca

Wine-Omega Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile

“Solid tannins provide support to this fruit-focused Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is austere, offering hints of spices. Plums and other dark fruit fill the mouth and extend the herbal finish.”

Dessert
Coffee Flan

$50 per person
