Elouan Oregon Wine Dinner

  • Biga Restaurant 4329 South Peoria Avenue Tulsa, OK, 74105 United States (map)

“Elouan, the result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, one of the world’s renowned Pinot Noir regions. The goal: to produce Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. For this wine we brought together fruit from three distinct terrains along Oregon’s premiere Western vineyards which harmonize beautifully when blended as one. The diversity of these districts along with a lengthy growing season create wines with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that sets them apart from other wines.”

1st Course
Crunchy Fish Sticks with Tartar Sauce

Wine-Elouan Chardonnay Oregon

“The 2017 Elouan Chardonnay opens with beautiful aromas of green apple, citrus, honeysuckle, and persimmon. Light gold in color, this Chardonnay has delightful flavors of guava, passion fruit, ripe peaches, and buttered popcorn. This wine has a smooth and luxurious mouthfeel, with a lingering and bright finish.”

2nd Course
Roast Salmon with Curried Fennel-Wine Sauce

Wine- Elouan Rose Oregon

Wine Enthusiast 91 points
“This pale copper hued rosé gets Joe Wagner’s new Oregon project off to a great start. It’s packed with delicious ripe fruit, recalling citrus, pear and peach. Despite the low alcohol, it has exceptional concentration and depth of flavor, with a sprinkling of pepper at the tail end.”

Entrée
Maple-Glazed Chicken Breasts with Mustard Jus

Wine- Elouan Pinot Noir Oregon

“The delicate nature of Oregon Pinot Noir requires a soft hand in the cellar. The clusters were 100% destemmed with a few select lots having small amounts of stems added back to the fermenter for phenolic augmentation. The must underwent an extended cold soak, ranging from five days to two weeks, and during fermentation both punch-down and pump-over techniques were utilized. We monitor the separate lots and tailor the extraction methods to the needs of each one. We find this style of reactive winemaking is the best way to coax the optimal terroir qualities from Pinot Noir, truly exemplifying the prime coastal vineyards from where it is sourced.”

Dessert
Warm Strawberry Crumb Cakesoon.

$45 per person.
